Skin problems are common among most people. Environmental effects such as temperature fluctuations (warm dry air indoors and cold damp weather outdoors), diseases, aging, etc. leave visible marks on the skin; the most sensitive organ of the human body. Aqua Skin® Urea Ointment and Aqua Skin® Urea Lotion were especially developed to treat dry skin. Their amphiphilic properties make them very special products.
Amphiphilic means that they are lipophilic and hydrophilic, therefore capable of compounding with water as well as fat. During the amphphilic phase, a protective film is formed to enclose the moisture administered to the skin, and at the same time prevent the loss of physiological factors which maintain normal body moisture. In addition, water is bound to the skin during the hydrophilic phase.
By adding urea, a substance that is naturally present in human skin, moisture is absorbed and retained in the deeper layers of the skin. Soothing panthenol and protective vitamin E reinstate and maintain a pleasant sense to the skin.
However, urea can have an irritating effect. This is why Aqua Skin® Urea ointment and lotion should not be applied to damaged skin.
Both preparations are quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving any unpleasant fat layers.
Through its special texture, Aqua Skin® Urea ointment does not require the addition of any preservatives. Both Aqua Skin® Urea ointment and lotion are manufactured without paraben, coloration or fragrance, making them the ideal preparations for the daily skin care; even for sensitive skin.
